An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."
-Nabokov
Loveliness is such a visual translation of beauty created here on Earth. I am so blessed and thankful my eyes still see how lovely the female can be: nude, clothed, even, in darkness, shadows, silhouettes, lights so dim details are missed yet imagination and dreams do not forget to remember. The posing of a model as an artist, too, for the sake of beauty beyond dimension and space defined illuminates loveliness by gesture, pose, stance, expression, the wave of her hair, the curves and lines of her beauty. Photography is such a wonderful art and blessing for all to envision: it stops in time miracles and mysteries of moments that bring song to our souls like a chalice once passed, like a bell was rung, like a rare flower was grown when sight was shared by all.

ReplyDeletea classic pose. the intensity you bring to it calls to mind a heroine from Greek tragedy, Antigone, or possibly Medea.
