An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."
-Nabokov
I love everything about this photograph! Your pose, the expression on your face, the casually held cigarette... even the bracelet. I also really like the lighting; the monochromatic tones add to the languorous feel of the overall composition.
April always sucessfully captures 'something more' I don't know what it is, but in this picture I keep expecting you to move forward and walk out of the cameras line of vision.
