An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."

What a beautiful photograph by Mr Ranum of you, Nettie. A true silhouette of a lady nearly, seemingly vanishing into lightlessness. I love your pose and position of your slender hands and arms so tenderly held at your lovely face. The dress nearly envelopes you in its comfort and warmth and softness creating in the silhouette more a mood, an emotion, than a model, a person. It is that which, sometimes, disappears bashful, shy, like a cat in the night or a doe out of sight. Thank you, Nettie.
