An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."

What a cool photograph, Nettie. And you're wearing your sneakers, too. I could never climb trees very well, except this cherry tree back when I was a kid. We would sit in it all afternoon on a weekend and just eat all the cherries we could eat. And I still love em. I remember Hayley Mills climbing down a tree in "Pollyanna" to get to a carnival because she was essential for its success. She fell and broke her leg and became even more of a success to her town. Funny how life does such things. You, Nettie, are awesomer.
I saw the movie, Tiger Bay, when it first screened way back when. One of my reasons for loving mysteries so much. I always loved her accent, Hayley Mills was so down-to-earth and, yet, angelic, if I may be so bold (or corny) to write. Her dad, of course, was one of the nest actors ever.
