An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."
-Nabokov
So this is the follow on from your last NA picture. I like this, you're still obscured, hidden from us, even though you're revealed. Taken in isolation as a pair it's as though Nathans playing with the viewer.
Really great observation. There is an isolation that Appel is feeling as well as myself that this image really portrays. He wanted to relay his feeling of the female being out of reach for him right now. more because of his own mental state then anything else.

that makes sense, I think it comes across powerfully over the two images. I appreciate the insight and 'back story' to your work.
