An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."
-Nabokov
Fascinating...violent and subtle somehow at the same time. Very much completely focused on your body and it's movement.
(Gods, have to say those generic studio backdrops are beginning to irritate me, but that's none of your fault and a different issue altogether.)
The movement is quite striking, especially where it involves your hair, as the dark color is such a contrast compared to the very light tone of your skin. The arms are very hard to pin down in position, and this I think is where the subtlety enters. there is also that sense of time that enters when capturing movement in this way. There is a certain sense I get that having your legs do the same thing might be even more interesting, as that would imply your entire body was in motion.
(Sorry if I'm babbling a bit, I've just not really discussed or critiqued art in a few years and now it all seems to be wanting to come out at once.)
this is so good
