An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."
-Nabokov
Braids of hair, shades of cotton reflected upon a mirror cracked. Bespeckled drops of tear-dew fall softly upon the glass. The tears of the leaves mend not the object but the subject who is seen so un-defended. The tender tears melt into the refracted glass design, then softly fall upon the lady's shoulders becoming freckles of eternal love.
I like the window.
ReplyDeleteOf course I like you in the image too, but the window is neat.\
