An Artist
"What does it mean "to write well"?
An artist--using the word in its genuine rather than childish meaning-is not a craftsman who knows how to evenly distribute "lively images", "telling details of everyday life", "colorful landscapes", and other trifles in his books; an artist is the one who finds a rhythm unknown before, and enlives and permeates the world he has created by this rhythm."
-Nabokov
I love donuts! The maple ones are my favorite! I love your tennies, Nettie! And your hair? is that a hint of a tint of red? auburn? like a maple leaf in Autumn, like a sunset softly falling like a blanket of hope over the western shore of Louisiana, somwhere west of New Orleans, where simple, little joys and good tidings are needed like coffee and eggs and a smile as wide as cypress roots so glad the frogs are still singin in their embrace as they plant their "feet" like sentinels in the rising moonlight awatch o'er all the blues in the bayou. Merci, Nettie, you are so very lovely.
I really like these everyday nudes
